“My love of painting and nature began at an early age as I was inspired by the many fishing and hunting trips with my Dad in the woods of New Brunswick. Today, I continue to spend time whenever I can in the outdoors canoeing and hiking. When I paint, I’m transported to a different place – one that is often hidden away during the busyness of the week. But stepping into the studio is like pulling back vines that are covering an entrance to a garden. With the natural world often at the heart of the subject matter, many of my works are simple compositions that seek to reflect the impression and interaction of colour, light and design found in the beauty of Creation.”
